Protect your saltiness (goodness)

““Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” Mark 9:50 (NIV)

Prayers: May the good Lord lead us into doing great and honorable things.

Do your good deeds in private

“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven,” Matthew 6:1 (NLT)

Prayers: May the Lord reward us for all our good deeds.

God knows those who are His

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity,” 2 Timothy 2:19 (KJV)

Prayers: May the Holy Ghost guide us into doing what is right in your sight, O Lord.

Christ’s important lesson in humility

“But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them. ‘You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to be great among you shall be your servant,” Mark 10: 42-43 (NKJV)

Prayers: Give us, O Lord, Your spirit of humility.

What do you want Jesus to do for you? Ask Him!

“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.

“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road,” Mark 10:51-52 (NIV)

Prayers: Increase our faith, O Lord.

Be honest and truthful

“Instead, let your message be ‘Yes’ for ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ for ‘No.’ Anything more than that comes from the evil one,” Matthew 5:37 (ISV)

Prayers: Consecrate our tongues, O Lord, so that we would only say Your truths.
