“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows,” Luke 12:6-7 (NLT).
Commentary: As of today, the world population stands at 8.3 billion people. It is understandable if some believers are concerned if God can still have time for them considering that He has billions of other people to cater for!
Well, to clear the misconception about that–God is a spirit, and He doesn’t get tired like us (human beings). More importantly, Jesus Christ assures us two things in the passage quoted above:
- We are more valuable to God than many sparrows, and God doesn’t forget a single one of them!
- The very hairs on our heads are all numbered, meaning that a single strand won’t fall off without God knowing!
Aren’t we so lucky for having a very caring God as our Father????
Prayers: Watch over me, Heavenly God, and let Your mercy and goodness abide with me now and forevermore.
